When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be briefed on what you need to know to safely receive your dental X-ray. You’ll then complete the procedure, wearing the relevant protective aprons and collars as provided.

What X-ray options do Forestside offer?
We can complete both 2D and 3D X-rays here at Forestside, depending on the reason for your need to undergo the procedure. We can complete simple, single tooth X-rays, as well as OPG and CBCT scans.
The latter involves a comprehensive 3D scan using a state of the art MyRay Hyperion X5 scanner. This provides an image of not only the teeth, but the nerves, soft issues and jaw bone which surround it.
Are dental X-rays dangerous?
The technology we’ll use for your X-ray diagnostics are designed to emit the absolute minimum amounts of radiation. As a result, there is no chance of it being a dangerous procedure. The cost of having our X-ray diagnostics completed would depend largely on which service you need. Our state of the art 3D X-ray diagnostic services will cost less than single tooth or OPG scans would.
