There are various different benefits to dental implants: the first being dental implants are a long-term solution to missing or broken teeth and they feel and look the same as natural teeth.
Dental implants are made out of titanium, meaning they are extremely strong and can last up to 25 years if looked after correctly!
The visual representation of dental crowns appears more attractive, resulting in facial appearance and features looking younger, brighter and happier.
The hygiene and oral care with dental implants persist in the same steps as with natural teeth, therefore you do not need to change your usual routine!
What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a surgical component that is integrated into the jaw bone to hold a dental prosthesis such as a crown, a bridge or a denture. Mostly, the treatment is used to replace a missing or a broken tooth or teeth. Dental implants are natural-looking and are very strong as they are made from titanium, therefore you will not need to worry about replacing them for many years if you correctly look after them!
All-On-Four Dental Implants
All-On-Four is a good solution for patients looking to replace all of their top or bottom teeth; the whole row at once, which is also a great alternative for patients with dentures and is looking for a life-long solution.
Differently from single tooth replacement, only four metal posts are placed into the jaw bone, instead of individually, creating a full set of teeth and changing the whole appearance of the new smile. Additionally, this way you will have your dream smile in just one day!

Who is suitable for dental implants?
Generally, all adults with missing or broken teeth are eligible to get cosmetic dental surgery, however, there are some exceptions that you should consider beforehand.
You must be in good general health and have a healthy and well looked after mouth, meaning all tooth decay and any gum diseases must be treated before the post and the crown is placed. Another reason why you might not be a dental implant candidate is that there is a possibility that your jaw bone is too soft and it would simply not hold the metal post. Lastly, people who heavily grind their teeth might not be the best-suited candidate for dental implants, the constant grinding could lead to the dental crowns chipping from the repeated pressure.
Not only this, but teeth also start moving and shifting as they don’t have something to keep it in place. This can change the way you eat food and how you feel about your appearance. It is essential to stop this from happening by having replacement teeth.
We can also repair or replace your cosmetic dentures. If you have a broken denture plate, get in touch with us, we can help you out and bring a smile back to your face. Book an appointment with us today for a consultation, and we can figure out the best root to restore your confidence.

Contact UsHow long is the dental implant process?
Consultation
The first step of the process is booking and attending a dental implant consultation with either a Treatment Coordinator (TCO) or an implantologist dentist at the practice. After the dental implant consultation, an implant assessment is carried out, this is where a 3D scan is taken of your teeth and the dentist creates a treatment plan to suit your financial and physical needs.
Surgery Stage
Once you agree on a treatment plan, the surgery commences, this is where a metal post is put into the jaw under local anaesthetic (we do also offer sedation at the surgery, please reach out to us to find out more).
Integration Stage
The integration stage is the stage where we will wait for the implants to integrate into the jawbone and usually, the healing takes 3-6 months but again, this depends on each individual case. If interested, we offer an alternative tooth or teeth for the time being to allow you to continue completing day-to-day tasks such as eating, laughing and talking without having to hide the gap.
Prosthetic Stage
The final step of the process includes the tooth restoration phase, the following step is where a dental impression will be taken to make sure the new tooth or teeth will fit perfectly. Lastly, the new prosthetic tooth will be attached to the metal post where the dental implant treatment will come to an end. At this stage, you are free to show off your new smile to your family and friends!
