What Are Chemical Peels?
Chemical peels are a unique treatment that addresses multiple skin problems through exfoliation and promoting cell regrowth. In older skin, cell regrowth begins to slow down, which is why we see signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and discolouration. By applying these treatments to the face, we can lower the pH scale. This also helps to loosen the connections that are found between dead skin cells, making them easier to remove.
This also promotes new cell growth. With regular chemical peels, your face will become used to the routine and as it starts encouraging more youthful cell regrowth. Chemical peels are something that have been around for a lot longer than you may think. It is believed that even back in the Ancient Egyptian times, Cleopatra used to bathe in sour milk to make her skin more youthful and beautiful.
We are proud to work closely with AlumierMD to bring you the very best in skincare – from treatments to products. They have developed their chemical peels and products with leading scientists, dermatologists and other professionals in the field. They have structured bioavailability in each molecule to ensure that you are left with bright, beautiful and clear skin. They want you to have the youthful glow you’ve always dreamt of.
AlumierMD have created their chemical peels for acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles as well as dry, normal, oily and even dehydrated skin. They have a special range of post-treatment products and a range of products that are designed for daily use. Types of Chemical Peels and Treatments
There are three different types of chemical peels that we perform here at Forestside. However, we also do five non-peel treatments to give your skin the extra care it needs.
Glow Peel – This treatment is targeted towards dry, normal, oily, dehydrated skin and those who suffer from acne and hyperpigmentation. These acid peels can also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This formula exfoliates and removes dead skin cells and also stimulates cell regrowth. These can be increased in strength through the number of layers applied.
Radiant 20/10 – These chemical peels are targeted towards those with can, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, congestion, open pores and oiliness. These peels can also help to reverse the effects caused by sun damage.
Radiant 30 – This procedure is recommended for those who suffer from hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dull skin, lines, wrinkles and other signs of ageing. This helps to boost cell turnover, stimulating collagen, which helps to improve skin texture and tone.
Vitamin A Boost – These are recommended for those with acne, hyperpigmentation and signs of ageing. This is because it will help you to have a more even complexion, which is ideal for mature or sun-damaged skin.
Detox Clear – This works by exfoliating the dead skin cells away and hydrates. This smooths the skin, minimises pores, reduces acne and prevents further breakout. Perfect for acne or congested skin.
AlumierMD Deep Moisturising Treatment – this is a brilliant way of nourishing the skin and infuses it with antioxidants and moisture-binding ingredients for plump and soft skin.
AlumierMD Enzyme Treatment – This works to exfoliate the dead skin cells and promotes better cell renewal. Targeted treatment serums are used to combat each skin problem.
AlumierMD Refining Clay Treatment – This is to cleanse and purify the skin. It works to remove dead skin cells and helps to promote cell renewal while clearing trapped oil. The result of this procedure, combined with a chemical peel, will be a reduction of blemishes and excess oil without losing hydration.
AlumierMD Skincare Products
Regular chemical peels are recommended to keep the skin on your face looking youthful and fresh. We also offer a wide range of AlumierMD products that can be used every day to help encourage better cell regrowth and your overall confidence in how you look.
Antioxidants – Protect your skin from the sun’s UV and infrared rays as well as pollution, stress, alcohol and smoking.
Sunscreen – Protects your skin from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays and minimises issues and damage caused by sunburn.
Eye Products – The skin around our eyes is far more delicate than the rest. This also makes it more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles. These eye products are designed to tighten and strengthen this delicate part of your face.
Cleansers – These skincare products aid our chemical peels in keeping your skin clean and free from dirt. Paired with an exfoliant, these can be great for those who suffer from acne.
Speciality Serum – We have a bunch of different products to ensure that all different types of skin get the correct treatment and care they deserve.
Exfoliants – These also help to enhance the work done by a chemical peel to remove further dead skin cells that can be clogging pores and causing greater problems.
Post Procedure – these products will be what we recommend after getting a skin peeling treatment done. This is to ensure that inflammation and moisturisation are kept up with each chemical peel.
We have a wide range of these products to choose from to ensure that each type of skin is covered. These will be great at keeping a daily skincare routine. This is because beautiful skin doesn’t just happen overnight. Along with our chemical peels, these will work a treat.
