Deposit, Non-attendance Without Notice Cancellation Charge Policy
At Forestside Dental Practice, we have a deposit, non-attendance without notice cancellation charge policy.
The practice takes a deposit as set out below when you book an appointment. This will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment at your next visit.
The practice requires at least 48 hours of notice for cancellation of or a request to reschedule an appointment. Where the practice receives less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation, or you do not attend your appointment without any notice, the deposit paid will be lost.
We send our patients four separate communications about your appointment:
- The initial appointment confirmation
- A reminder email four weeks prior
- A second reminder email one week before the appointment
- A text notification three days before the appointment.
Please ensure that your details are up to date.
Please note that if you do cancel with less than 48 hours notice or fail to attend without giving notice, it is very difficult for us to rebook your appointment, which means that we are unlikely to treat another patient in your place. Where our team will not be treating any patients, the surgery will stand idle but incur running costs. The practitioners lose income.
Please be assured that we will always be sensitive to personal circumstances in the event of late cancellations, so please do explain any reasons you have for late cancellation to our reception team. Additionally, if your appointment slot is subsequently filled by another patient, we will refund your deposit.
For all Dental & Hygiene Appointments, the following deposits will be taken
- Lasting up to 30 minutes £30
- Lasting up to 1 Hour £60
- Over 1 Hour £100
For special appointments such as cosmetic dentistry, implants, or Endodontics, the deposit required will be detailed in your treatment plan given to you by your treating Dentist.
Late Cancellation Fee or Non-Attendance Without Notice for Pre-paid or On-going Treatments
Some appointments do not have a charge. An example of these would be a review appointment or an appointment where you have pre-paid. Late cancellations or no-shows still lead to a loss of chair-time, just like a paid appointment would.
For such appointments, we reserve the right to apply a late cancellation fee of the same value as the deposits set out above. This will need to be settled before additional or rescheduled appointments can be booked.
